Handlebar Winning

In my earlier posts I initially warmed to the Wild1 Psycho Streetfighter handle bars given I couldn't justify nearly $800 for Big Als Risers. I then Leaned more towards the Trask Assault risers and Trask VLine Moto bars. I like this combo but there was one combo I liked more.

The combination of Trask risers and some RSD bars, namely the the Pro-Step 1 1/4 bars was my "Gold Standard". By there was an issue with this combo. Revzilla doesn't ship certain brands to Australia. Any brands (Including RSD) that are distributed by Rollies will give you an error and not let you complete the sale on Revzilla. So I went (via Matt @ Rosnar) to rolls to get a price for the bars and it turned out they were discontinued.

Talk abut a bummer. I couldn't get them from the US or Australia

I spent the week to'ing and frow'ing between various bar/riser combos, I even considered the West  Coast TBars but the RSD/Trask combo was what I really wanted. It had the rise, the pull back and the width I needed but also the style.

So I figured screw it and hopped online and brought up a chat session with 'Chris' one of the Revzilla "Gear Geeks". I explained the situ, that AU wouldn't get the bars and that Revzilla had them on close out. Chris was super helpful and made an exception and now (barring any further) issues I have:

  • Arlen Ness Big Sucker
  • Trask 4" Assault Risers
  • A replacement Arlen Ness Filter (For the Gen-2)

and most importantly

  • Some 4" RSD pro Step Bars in Black Ops!!

I'm pretty happy about how it panned out.

Also, I fitted some pegs to get me a bit more foot room than the OEM short rubber jobbies.

I ditched the leather tank panel extension in favour of chrome.
