Overall look and feel
My one gripe with the Gen-2 over my old 2010 Street Bob is that too much of it is gloss black. Wheels, Side panels, Triple Trees, Fork Lowers, Tank, Fenders, Side covers. They look fantasic in the right light but in sunlight, its all swirls and marks from the use and abuse I submit it too. And for the Gen-2 i'm happy with that. I want it to be worn and patina'd and show its use.
The Gen-1 on the other hand has a mixture of chrome (Triple trees), Gloss black (Fork lowers), Wrinkle Black (Side covers) and cast/brushed (wheels). Most importantly it has the machined fins on both the heads and jugs (vs just the heads on the GEn-2). And thats where the look i want will start.

In terms of look and feel I'm down to 2 choices.
Option 1:
I am 70% decided on this.
Option 2:
I am probably leaning 30% this way
I have always wanted a mostly black engine with machined fins.
And with the Gen-2 Already having Wrinkle Black upper rocker box covers I only have to order the lower rocker box covers and spend a day spinning spanners swapping them around.
Getting to the final fit and finish will probably be after I ride the bike around for a bit.
Option 1:
- Matte Black paint
- Chrome Dash
- Chrome Bars and Risers
- Chrome Exhaust
- Black wheels
- Black Engine (Machined fins)
- Black Air intake

- Matte Black paint
- Brushed Chrome Dash
- Brushed Chrome Bars and Risers
- Brushed Chrome Exhaust
- Brushed Alloy wheels
- Black Engine (Machined fins)
