What's next for the dropped pie?

There is no doubt about it that the recent installation of my long awaited ape hangers was a significant milestone in the constant customisation of my 2014 Fat Bob. Man I've had those bars since May last year, 3 months before I got the bike!

But while this major piece of the puzzle is out of the way I still have a ways to go. Its spring now so the bike will see more daily commutes and weekend jaunts.

I have summer to work out the logical order to do things in so priorities may change depending on time and finances.

Rear End

The front is done so logically my next step is turn to the rear. I have the wide glide fender in my possession but it still needs some welding and body work before I can mock it up. That will be first.

Before the fender is ready for trial fitting I need to suss out new turn signals and work out a tail light. I've seen all in one number plate holders that do brake, turn signals and license plate lights but I want mine to look less 'custom'. Meaning I want the turn signals to be mounted on the fender rails and I want tail light and number plate light that are independent of each other.

I was going to go with Arlen Ness rear signals however they will not be compatible with the docking hardware (when I switch to a wide glide rear fender) Instead I will go with some rat eye LED signals from Joker machine that will match my fronts. For the Tail light I will use a strip of LEDs that serve as park and brake.

Luggage.

On my Robe ride I scuffed the crap out of my rear fender but aside from that I really like the setup of gear strapped to the back fender. I purchased the HD docking hardware and strapped a dry bag and a tool bag to it and it was solid for near 1500km.
The only downside was it wasn't easily accessible. I had to pull out spares gloves at one point and an allen key at another, both times this required totally removing all my bungy cords.
Given I now have a solution for running after market turn signals through HD docking hardware on the WG rear fender I'm happy to splash on a HD sissy bar and Biltwell exfil 80

Controls

I don't like the OEM forward control arms so the HD billet style get the nod here, I ran them on my old bike and was very happy. I'm also liking that I can get a full Joker machine matching set of pegs, shifter and brake pedal so I will try the pegs first and if they are the right position then I'll move on with the remaining bits. The issue is colour.

Looking back I really like the contrast of black and chrome on my old bike. This one is a little too black heavy. It was my motivation to mix it up a little with the cables and lines on my apes and that paid off. So for controls I'm thinking Black arms and raw pegs and pedals. Or maybe even chrome arms and raw pegs but the arms would need to be given the scotch brite treatment.

Wheels

Tough one here:
Budget Option 1 - Keep my wheels, powder coat them all black and go with whitewalls (Or black walls)
Budget Option 2 - Keep my wheels, powder coat them all white and stay with blackwalls

Pricey Option 1 - Go aftermarket. The sky is the limit here 18/16 Fat Spokes Black rims Brushed spokes would be sweet. But so would a 21/18 maybe in bling chrome. I could always to one of the budget options now and worry about a wheel change later.

Bibs and Bobs

Some other things I want to change/add in isolation along the way are

Speed Merchant Bash Plate

Lyndall Brake Upgrade

K&N Intake
